Hi, I'm Brianna!

Thank you for stopping by my site, wanting to be a part of my "next chapter", and thinking about trusting me with your own story!

I am an elementary school teacher, turned photographer. Speaking with children and making them feel comfortable is something I excel at. During our session, we talk and keep communication open so I can help your loved ones and you feel as comfortable as possible in front of my lens. I love to capture candid moments of love, joy, laughter, and snuggles, as well as gently posed shots. Detail shots such as tiny fingers and toes, hands through hair, or holding hands are some of my favorite moments to capture.

I am forever chasing the light - I dream in Golden Hour light! - and will capture natural light images to tell your story!

I have two incredible children and a husband who's been by my side since we were 16 years old. I love our story and each new chapter we add.

Since I was young, the only career I thought about was to become a teacher. I taught first and second grade for eleven years in the same classroom at the same wonderful school. I had my first child, went back to teaching, and continued to love it. When my second child was born during the height of the pandemic, during "Lockdown" in May 2020, my priorities quickly shifted. We could not hire a photographer for his newborn photos and so my trusty phone and I took a whirl at it. Capturing those special memories sparked a new fire inside of me, but I was not ready to switch careers from the only thing I'd ever known.

Fast forward exactly one year, after struggling to find consistent childcare for my babes, I bought a camera on a whim after never having held one in my life and decided to "do the damn thing". I had always loved capturing moments of my family and wanted to now tell others' stories, as well. I decided to invest in myself, to trust myself, and to see where this new passion took me.

In August 2022, I made the difficult decision to leave teaching and to hold tight to the precious time I have with my Littles while they are still young. Photography has given me this freedom. Photography lit a fire inside of me that I didn't know was missing, but now I hope this fire never goes out.

I am self-taught and have learned through trial and error, the mantra that "practice makes progress", and online videos from other photographers across the country. I love to learn and hit the ground running as I began this new journey. I have met incredible people and have truly loved telling their stories through photography. I think of photographs as tangible memories and feel beyond blessed to be able to give that gift to my clients.

My husband and I are true high school sweethearts, together now half of our lives. I love to look back at photographs of us over the years to see how we have grown in love. After being married for a couple of years, we were ready to start a family. Sometimes this is easier said than done, unfortunately. We were told by doctors that we had a zero percent chance of having a baby due to infertility complications. Our hearts sank. Would I ever have photographs of my own children to look back at? The years that followed were filled with a roller coaster of emotions. I went through five rounds of IVF and experienced three miscarriages. It was quite the journey, however, I would not change our journey for anything because, as a result, we have been blessed with two beautiful children who were born three years apart.

Whether professional photos or simply snaps with my phone, photographs of my children are stories of hope. These photographs tell the story of the moment that we are in at the time, but also the journey of hope that brought them here. I look at these photographs and smile.

I am acutely aware of how quickly time goes and I swear it only goes faster after having children. The days come and go and before I know it, my Littles look older already.

It is my hope that I can tell your family's story through photographs, a story that you will look back on years from now and remember the moment you were in and the feelings that you felt.
